For a small and compact place, Peregian Village has a number of great cafes on offer. Most of them open very early between 5-6 am for all those early risers, beach walkers and surfers, and many close by 2-3pm. As opposed to many of Noosa's cafes, serving predominantly tourists, in Peregian Beach it is the locals and the community who frequent many of these cafes. There’s nothing like a Sunday morning brekky sharing your bacon with your little mate.
Day Trip To Peregian Village
My sunshine
doesn't come from the skies. It comes from the love that's in my dogs eyes.
Take a
deep breathe and relax everyone, Spring is on its way. In just a few weeks we
will be soaking up the sun and splashing around in the refreshing salt water at
one of the Sunshine Coast’s and Gold Coasts many magical beaches. From Caloundra
to Noosa, Southport to Currumbin the coastline is strewn with sandy shores and Open
Ocean, each with their own features and facilities.
Whether you’re taking the
dogs for a run, looking for a wave or keen for a beach barbecue with mates, we
love getting out and taking our pup for a run and swim.
We took
a early drive to one of our favourite little seaside towns of Mudjimba and headed
towards North Shore beach to soak up the sunrise, the fresh salt air, wild
ocean, and stunning sandy patch. The doggy area extends all the way to Maroochy
River, so there’s a choice between jumping the waves and swimming in the calmer
river. There are always lots of dogs getting their morning exercise but you
still feel like you have the entire beach to yourself.
Once we soaked up all
the beauty, we headed onto Peregian Village.
Peregian
Village is one of the most community-minded villages on the Sunshine Coast. There’s a super-chilled, centrally-located
shopping village, with a shady town square encircled by trendy cafes, fashion
stores and gift stores that err on the side of the eclectic and cutting-edge.
You can stroll barefoot around the little town, then cross the road to the
beachfront park, with its excellent skatepark and children’s playground, and
the popular local Surf Club.
It’s a
well-known fact that ALL Raw Energy stores across the Coast are extremely
accommodating when it comes to four legged friend, but Raw Energy Peregian
Village has just that little bit of extra seating if you’ve got a few pups in
tow. Raw is also known for their fresh, healthy approach to food. We ordered a
couple of Big Breakfast meals so Shari could some bacon, toast and Puppacino
the boutiques were starting to open.
On
queue Kim disappeared to discover new and acclaimed boutique stores that bring
a fabulous mix of local and International brands and flavours to Peregian
Beach. If you have a keen eye for fashion, or if you are looking for that perfect
piece for your home, you might just be pleasantly surprised by the lack of
mainstream and the abundance of unique products and services available.
One of
Kim favorites was PatrizaB. PatriziaB combines trends, styles and international
influences without losing its Italian origin. Kim picked up and new Limited
Edition top and jeans, and also dropped by Peticular, which is a boutique pet
store and picked up another new lead and doggy treats.
The
village of Peregian and its unspoilt beach is a unique location along the
Sunshine Coast, and is a perfect area for couples looking for a romantic day
out, as well as families looking for somewhere with a peaceful atmosphere.
