Sounds like a great holiday! I'm not sure if I'd be able to jump in the Brown lake though. After reading the "decomposing" part of your sentence, I'd be happy to just watch people in it. Lol. Is there such a thing as the holiday hunger phenomenon? That explains it why I'm always eating when I'm on a holiday but then again, it's the same for me even if I'm not on a holiday. Lol.
ReplyDeleteMust be so weird to jump in a lake that is brown because of decomposing materials but I guess after a long hot day even that would be refreshing. Swimming with the manta-rays in the open like that must be amazing. Such beautiful and gentle creatures. I have always wanted to experience that and the way you did it is great. What a wonderful holiday you had.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great holiday island! The food you had looks super tasty from the pictures you posted. I have to agree with the other posts above mine-I don't know if I'd be able to go swim in Brown lake either. I don't care for swimming in lakes to begin with, but perhaps if it was super hot and I was roasting I may take a dip to cool off lol. Must have been neat watching those manta rays and turtle too!
ReplyDeleteWow looks like a beautiful place. Your photos are incredible especially the last one of the boat. I bet it was an amazing experience with the manta rays.
ReplyDeleteThe brown lake sounds Erm interesting. Surely all those minerals and nutrition from the soil must be good for you. A bit like a mud bath :-)
This looks like a beautiful vacation! Those sunset shots look to die for and snorkeling with manta rays! I'm super jealous!
ReplyDeleteWow, looks like you had a wonderful vacation. And you saw manta rays! I'm so jealous. I'd love to see them up close like that..amazing creatures. The brown lake must have been an interesting experience, although the name (and the color) is not very appealing.
ReplyDeleteHow cool are those manta rays! Wow seems like an epic spot for a little breakaway vacation! I love anything to do with the outdoors so that is always a win for me!
ReplyDeleteWould love to see the Rays and Turtles! Looks like you had a fantastic trip. Will put Brown Lake on my bucket list!
ReplyDeleteThanks all for dropping in and leaving a comment. As for the Brown Lake, it's not as brown as you think it is. The lake is fresh rain water. The slight brown color is from the dead leaves and tree branches.
ReplyDeleteAww what a holiday! I love getting up very early as well, it's so special to see a place wake up. First the birds, then the older people enjoying coffee and such... Your post truly inspired me to travel again soon!
