Sunrise at Moffat Beach to Caloundra Markets: Our Sunshine Coast Sunday Adventure

  Sunrise to Street Fair Our adventures kicked off with an early 5am rise, jumping in the  Ute  and cruising up the Bruce Highway to Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast—about  90km  north of Brisbane, an easy hour drive past the Glass House Mountains. Moffat Beach, our  fave  spot between Dicky Beach and Kings Beach, shines with its sheltered cove, calm family waves, rocky headlands for whale watching (June-Nov), dog-friendly stretches, grassy picnics, and nearby playgrounds plus cafes.

    Saturday Night at the Eat Street Markets   It had been quite some time since we last wandered through the vibrant Eat Street Markets, but after our visit this weekend,  we’ve  decided  it’s  something  we’ll  be doing a lot more often—especially when  special events  are on.  There’s  something  magic  about the mix of twinkling lights, sizzling street food, and live music floating through the air that makes Brisbane’s Eat Street such an unforgettable experience.

Our morning started with a visit to the lively Kingscliff Lions Beachside Markets held at Jack Bayliss Park.
